

Note: not all schools utilize a +/ system when giving grades. Fall grades are posted in December, Spring grades are posted in May, and Summer grades are posted in August. In francophone schools, from kindergarten to grade 9 an alternative grading system is used instead of percentages and letter grades: numbers 1 through 4 are used (4 is excellent, 3 is good, 2 is average, and 1 is below average. Various tertiary institutions in Australia have policies on the allocations for each grade and scaling may occur to meet these policies.

Grades are rolled to academic history three times per year at the end of each full term.
